Take a Time Out With Calm.com

It's 3 pm – generally the time of day where I have a diet pop to subdue my craving to either rip someone's head off or go to sleep and never wake up. I discovered an alternative to all those options (gotta lay off that aspartame, you know) with calm.com. The simple site provides a “short relaxation… for you to get used to the idea of stopping… of doing nothing… of just being still”.

Calm.com offers a free guided or unguided period of relaxation for either two or ten minutes, with or without music, to the sounds of your choice of natural landscape, including an ocean shore, small waterfall and winds in a field.

As the guide reminds you, “This is your time to be still.” You can do it as many times as you want during the day.

But you cannot scrub ahead and you shouldn't open a new tab and start simultaneously answering emails. We know it's hard, but take two (or ten) minutes and try to calm the f*** down!
