As we prepared our 2012 Toronto International Film Festival coverage for CBC, we took a special look at five incredible Canadians with films in the festival.

Four out of five of the Canadian Star Profile videos we produced were dedicated to women: the leading lady, Rachel McAdams; the ingenue, Sarah Gadon; the director, Deepa Mehta; the triple threat, Sarah Polley. The fifth is Ryan Gosling, the movie star from Cornwall, Ontario.
