We first met Brad Goreski as an up and coming stylist in Season One of The Rachel Zoe Project, when he was battling the undermining efforts of a jealous coworker and working hard to impress his boss, Rachel Zoe – only the most relevant celebrity stylist in the world. He styled his way up the fashion ladder and won the hearts of millions of viewers, ours included.
When the Port Perry, Ontario-native made the scary decision to leave the Rachel Zoe Inc. nest to go it on his own, Brad weathered the slings and arrows of speculative media that wanted to pit him and Rachel against eachother. But he’s holding his own with grace and, of course, style on his own show, It’s a Brad Brad World, with his own editorial jobs for InStyle, Details Magazine, J Brand and more, and with clients like Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore and Kim Kardashian.
I got to meet him at the Jason Wu for Target pop up shop in Toronto on Thursday (check out our coverage of the event for CBC Live) and he was as warm and wonderful as you’d hope him to be. We talked talked about his secret Oscar styling plans, his advice on what to wear to the Genie Awards and why the water in Toronto is good for his hair.
He also let us in on the secret to his success for Empirella.com…
