iSteve: The Book of Jobs

The authorized biography is now available for pre-order.

The zeitgeist is pregnant with iSteve: The Book of Jobs. The authorized biography of the very private Apple CEO has been a bestseller for the past two days since going on sale for pre-order at, even though the actual release date is 9 months from now, on March 6th, 2012.

Although unauthorized biographies have been written about Jobs, Walter Isaacson’s biography is, according to Amazon, “Drawn from three years of exclusive and unprecedented interviews Isaacson has conducted with Jobs as well as extensive interviews with Jobs’ family members, key colleagues from Apple and its competitors, iSteve is the definitive portrait of the greatest innovator of his generation.”

Walter Isaacson is the president and CEO of the Aspen Institute, he’s been the chairman and CEO of CNN an the managing editor of TIME. His other works include Benjamin Franklin: An American Life and Kissinger: A Biography.

    I think the biggest issue is a lack of interest from parents and educators. Educators should force students to show their work for credit avoiding calculators and forcing them to actually LEARN. I also think parents should have more oversight with what their kids are doing. This includes TV, internet, phones, etc. Too many parents dont limit the time their children are spending and dont monitor what they do. What ever happened to playing catch with your kids, flying a kite, building a model, etc.
